Our Philosophy

 

We provide an environment where children become confident, enthusiastic, self-directed learners. They are able to think critically, work collaboratively, and act boldly all while immersed in the Spanish language. 

 

We value kindness, foster independence, and act as guides honoring the unique learning style of each child. Our progressive learning center represents a socio-economically, culturally, and racially diverse community. Children are prepared to become citizens of the world.

 

We do not assign homework or tests, we believe play is the main vehicle for knowledge in early childhood. We take excursions to local places such as the library, the senior center, the pet shop, the local parks. We practice kindness and share ideas. We focus on critical thinking, responsibility, and feel that academics and play go hand in hand. 

 

The outdoor classroom is an extension of the indoor classroom and offers children the opportunity to experience firsthand the beauty, wonder, and mystery of the natural world. Children here have the opportunity to work with soil and plants and immerse themselves in the growing cycles of flowers and vegetables. The impact of an outdoor classroom on the children is both immediate and long term.
